Brooke Burn was born on 16 March 1978 in Dallas, Texas, USA. Brooke has two siblings and she is middle of three.
Brooke got a very supportive family, where her mother encouraged her from a young age to pursue a career as a ballet dancer. As a teenager she was a very good ballet dancer at a professional level. But it was ended at the age 14 due to a ski accident. Without wasting a time her mother enrolled her at a modeling agency. From the age of 16 she was travelling and working throughout Europe for fashion magazines. The later year she returned back to USA and continued modeling in New York.
Brooke worked for commercials including Mug Root Beer, popular restaurants like Matrix and Carrows Restaurants. After that she got casted as a regular in the series "Out of the Blue", a show filmed on location at Sea World, in Orlando, Florida.

After a great success in Florida, brooke decided to move to Los Angeles for better opportunities, where she auditioned for a role in "Baywatch". At first she was rejected but later called back for a permanent role as Jessie Owens in Baywatch, which was her big break. While auditioning for "Baywatch" Brooke appeared in many television series in guest appearences including Timothy Hutton's "Nero Wolfe" and the recurring role of Jennifer, the fantasy girl on "Ally McBeal. After completing "Baywatch" and "Baywatch Hawaii", Brooke decided to leave the show because she was pregnant by Julian McMahon (actor of WB show) at the age of 22.
After giving birth to her baby in 2000, Brooke made her feature-film debut with comedy "Shallow Hal (2001)" alonside Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black. She played a role of young, tragically ugly girl whose inner beauty proves to be much stronger than her disagreeable outer appearance. It was a small role but a significant one.
A very next opportunity came for her when she leapt on top of a speeding double-decker bus in a celebrity edition of "Fear Factor". Producers from NBC were impressed with her adventure sense, and asked her for a new reality game show called Dog Eat Dog.
Brooke had married to Julian McMahon an actor of WB show on 22 December 1999, but later divorced in 2001. The couple had a daughter together named Madison, who was born in june 2000. She was also engaged to Bruce Willis from 2003 until June 2, 2004, when they broke the engagement due to trouble maintaining a long-distance relationship.
On November 11, 2005 Brooke was hospitalized in Los Angeles because of her bone in the neck got broke after diving into a pool at her home. But now she made a full recovery from it.
Brooke is excel as a swimmer having been trained by her father, and is a former national champion swimmer at SMU. In her spare time, Burns is a mentor for PennyLane, a residential home for abused.
