Tessa James Biography:
Tessa James was born the 17th of April 1991 in Melbourne Australia. She is an avid performer and has performed in school plays and amateur theatre throughout primary school and high school. She took up acting already at the age of 7, and it became a hobby that she jokingly claims her mother chucked her into to control her. Nevertheless, there was no doubt that she had a major talent in acting. She also showed that she had many more talents tough. She has been dancing since she was only five years old, has sung for the Young Australian Broadway Chorus and the Children Performing Choirs Australia, plays the piano and guitar and she loves to swim and surf. In 2008, Tessa moved to Sydney to take up some new challenges inside acting. Behind her she left her loving parents, sporty younger sister, and two dogs-Oreo and Bella.

Tessa’s first role on the tv screen was as Anne Baxter on Neighbours. There she played a blind girl, who was both sweet and innocent – the complete opposite from Nicole. Tessa said “It was a great first role, I couldn’t have wished for anything better. I had to practice a lot and really work hard to get it.” In 2008, Tessa got her first lead role in the film “Hugo” where she plays Celestine. 2008 showed itself to be a huge year for Tessa, as this was also the year where she got her most known part to date as Nicole Franklin in Home and away. Now playing Nicole whose similarities to the young actress extend no further than their age and love of fashion, Tessa is eager to take on the role. “I love playing Nicole because she’s feisty and fun, and doesn’t mind pushing the boundaries. And she dresses stylishly – she’s very high maintenance, which is fun to play.”
